She's About To #25

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Mmy grandma was left her family's farm there and my grandfather upped and sold it on her.
They said she cried for weeks...
Back then the men made all the decissions...LOL

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Ah, hum Senorita Clem, you're complaining about not being able to keep up. You used to keep the rest of us running with your paella, brugs, scary plants and dear Copo. ( I really need a new Copo picture, I'm sure he will oblige. (He can come live at my house anytime).

Dearest, life gets busy, don't worry about it. You can always come back here, and you do not even have to "catch up." After 25 threads, I am sure there are sometimes us original hotties say something that new Hotties are like, "WHAT?" So the new Hotties just need to speak up and ask what is the story. I think our best story involved AuntB's marbles.,,,

To the new Hotties, Auntb kept saying she had "Lost Her Marbles" so about 15 of us got together and sent her some. I cannot remember who started all of this, but it was such fun.

Now, we have people looking at us all of the time. (Could be because some Hotties got busy playing, and pushed down everybody else's posts?)

I got a very nice d-mail today from someone who has not ever posted on our thread. This person has never ever posted on a thread that I could find. (I will not name you, but come on and join us!) It would definitely be a zone change for us, but that is neat too, learning about the different zones. Some of you have already had your first frost, some had had their fifth (if I remember right) and Chrissy100 down in Australia is in her Spring. Maybe I need to figure out how to be in Sping and Summer all the time.

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Oh did I tell you what my sweet adorable 5 and 6 year old she devil gd's did to me on Sunday..
They asked if they could bring the stray orange cat in the house..
I said NO
Then I caught them trying to sneak him in the cellar...
NONONO
Well unknown to me they had tried sneaking him into the bedroom window where I was keeping my Brugs
And I didn't know they left the window open...
well the cold and frost got one of my Isabelle cuttings..it was about 12" long...
the whole top turned a dark green..got saggy and started turning to mush..
The only piece that survived was what was in the water...
The Brugs are now all upstairs saftly hidden away from the she devils....LOL
After all the cat stuff I look out my diningroom window and there's the oldest climbing up my honeysuckle vines..
All her dad could say was oh she's the climber...grrrrrrrr.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh NO Phyllis! hahaha, sweet little grandbabies.....always into something I'll bet! That sounds like something I'd do when I was little. Sorry about your plant babies...

Yes Peg, Miss Clem used to run US all ragged trying to keep up with her posts.....We miss you Clemmie! Hope you have time soon to be with us more.

Jeanne, can't wait to meet you at the RU! You will pass RIGHT by my house on your way to Tyler through Frankston if you want to see it Dmail me and I'll tell you where it is. I can't believe I have everything ready but I do! I learned alot at the last RU on doing ahead of time so I wouldn't be out the night before in a gown...LOL! (me and Bonnie both do that I guess....wasn't she sweet to do that for your little Bruggies?, She's our resident doll ☺ Well, we ALL are, living dolls, hottie dolls!

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Okay, now I'm 10 posts behind!!

Red brugs seeds went out today, I apologize that it took me soooo long. But sometimes, you have to sit back and figure out your priorities, or at least I do. I hope I got everybody that wanted them, I think I did, but this is an EXPERIMENT. It is just something to play with. Nobody has to grow them, just something to play with and talk about.

I went to Hobby Lobby today, which is not a good place for my checkbook to be, but I was looking for something I needed for the Christmas exchange. It was not there! I had this idea in my head and I thought it was going to be so easy, nope!! Back to the drawingboard.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Peg, HAHAHAHAHA, I thought you weren't even going to think of Christmas yet, you silly bug! What are you up to now? :)

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

That's a shame about your grandma Phyllis. I hope she found a home she loved.
At least you have something salvaged from your Isabelle. Kids, gotta love 'em.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Phillis they can't be that bad!

oh I love Hobby Lobby. I could spend way too much money there.

I told Bonnie she was a doll for going out in the dark for my brugs. I do truly appreciate it and it makes those plants that much more special. I can't wait to meet you too. I will dmail for your location, although it shouldn't be hard to find. Just look for the empty bank with no roof. You know that pic made it into the Paklestine Herald? There is a cute yellow house on a road that parallels 155 near the intersection at 175. Someday I am going to go down that street just to see it up close.

I have my stuff ready also. Even have pots cleaned out in case I find something at Maggies/Kens.

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Words I can't use, Karen I wasn't going to think about Christmas until you put it in my head and I had all of these "visions" about my 12 ornaments to send.

Our Christmas last year was sad because of a major ice storm that really set us back. I barely did Christmas last year, and usually I go all out. After last year, I'm kind of hanging back...but your talk got me to thinking about it and I usually do totally enjoy it. But not last year. It's kind of like I got hit real bad last year, and I am not sure this year, if that makes any sense? My house is usually totalled decorated for Christmas, my daughter and I love doing it, and we have a lot of decorations we have done together. Last year, I didn't even get those out. So I hope I can get that joy back this year. And the fact that I was even thinking about it, is a very good sign. Ain't nothing lady, okay?

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Peg, Christmas so early, you sound like the stores, it is not even the end of the summer sometimes and the stores have already have those decorations, yikes, too early. I cannot even imagine the holidays now with all of the bad news in Wall Street.

ANYWAY, some hotties have complaint to me either by mail or just posting about my son and i decided to post him again, yes my son and the best kid alive, hee hee. So here we go!

Copo sleeping on top of his zebra rug

BTW I still have not been able to catch up with all of you!

Now he is ready to go out and do his thing, it was raining and he hates to get wet, just like his mom and he needs his raincoat!

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Awwww...Copo.....boy fashion plate! He is too cute Clemen! Peg, so sorry about your past Christmases...I know last year I couldn't afford gifts for anyone in my family, even my kids. My husband was out of work and buying the food for the holiday meal was all we could afford. But we ate well and enjoyed each other....still didn't feel like Christmas to me. I hope this year is better for both of us hon. I guess I need to set a date anyway for a deadline list of people so we will know how many ornaments we will need. I'm going to say November 1 will be the deadline to sign up.

So, I need each of you hotties who are interested to please Dmail me by November 1 if you want to be in on the ornament exchange, even if you have expressed interest here I wish you would Dmail me so I can keep easier count.. I will periodically place a reminder on the thread.

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Whoa! That's an Okie term. We can post anything we want in Hottieland. In this one space, almost anything is okay! If you get on some of the other forums no, it is not okay. The thread will die, nobody will answer. We are sitting on #25 so we have managed to do something right! If you are totally offended, then you can state your opinion and your opinion will be considered and talked about. Clem can post pictures of Copo, we can have pictures of grandchildren , children, brugs, or whatever. That is what makes this thread great! I've let threads before, just left and deleted everything I ever said on that thread. Is that what we want here?

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Ok you RU goers... it's just NOT fair!! All your organization skills have not been in Colmesneil lately..lol.. I know I will either be out there tomorrow night in my gown... OR at least with the flash light!! Ah well.. that's what makes the world go round..I guess...
Went to see Momma and she was really in a tiz.. bless her heart.. she just gets soo nervous sometimes, and of course with her lack of reality, there's no changing her mind.. just sooo sad..
Phyllis... LOL on the "Dear" GD's... makes you want to pull your hair out, but you gotta love them..
Peg... ooooh... wasn't that fun sending all the marbles to Bonnie... hmmmm you might as well own up to instigating the whole escapade..lol I thought it was genius!!
Sandy.. LOL.. # 18 is mine... all mine.. yesterday.. today and tomorrow!! Now.. I thought that was cute.. but we need to hear from the real you!!
Clemie.. Clemie.. Clemie... How in the world do you think we would survive if we waited for anyone to come back home..lol.. just read the last few posts and "fake" it if you have to!!..LOL... NOW..... I do NOT do that.. hehehehe

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Oh Karen, wishing a better holiday this time around. As far as me decorating, i am so bad, DH does it all, I get the tiniest Chx tree i can get and do not care about ornamnts and all, yep, bad girl here, sorry. I'll rather spend my money in brugs. hee hee

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Copo looks just like my mom's Buffy. Bijon right? Here's a pic of one of my boys, Fonzie last Christmas. He kisses all the time, thus the name Fonzie. My boys hate to get wet too.

My favorite is29, but rewritten, and I am sure everybody has heard this.

"I smile because they cannot figure out what I am smiling about. Drives them nuts, which makes me smile more."

Not directed to Hotties at all, just bosses, some husbands, some policemen after our last episode, and just general duh.

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Just some policeman. My hubby is a 34 year veteran of law enforcement. Can we still be friends?

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Ohso o cute, and this hottie is going zzzzz. and love to you too Peg, love to all Need a tylenol PM tonight. Until tomorrow. I tried chatting!

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

me too. Stick a fork in me I'm done. Sweet dreams everybody.

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Oh, goodness. Copo is a totally NY hottie, but Ohso may have the lower states. They can still both come live with me.

We used to raise miniature Schnauzers and had the prettiest dogs. But we had to put our last male breeder down because he attacked a kid. So, now, I've got my Blue heeler/mutt, we do not know what his parentage is. He's not cute at all, but very smart. I'm very impressed with this breed, if I knew what it was.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Ok baby i am gone with the wind! nigth night all

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Nite nite all you hotties, love you so but I am plumb de tard out. (peg will know what I mean, LOL!) Hugs to all {{{{{{{HOTTIES}}}}}}}}}

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Hey Peg cross posted! Ok you can take care of Cops when I go on vacation ok, lol, now seriously going zzzzzzzzzzz

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Oh, Texasgrower, yes, we can still be friends! Sheesh, I meant no disrespect especially to someone who has been on the Force for 34 years.

We just had an incident with windows being broke out of our cars in our driveway and we mainly called the police for insurance purposes. My city has a training program for policemen and we got the trainees. We are longtime friends with the ex-police chief Brandon.

I meant no disrespect.

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Copo gets to come to my house? What fun! What's his favorite snack?

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Okay, I've just lost three posts.

So, I'll try again. The annual picture contest for the DG calendar just started. I think Bonnie needs to submit the picture on this thread. I don't think we can submit it, I'll get into it more deeper tomorrow. But we need a brug picture in this calendar. Think about it and looks at all the pictures.

zzzzzz

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

hmmm... looks like I might have caused a "stir"... lol.. but you know I LUV ya PEG!!! BTW... yeah I like that smiling one too!! Makes them wonder what you are up too..lol
Nite all you earlybird hotties!!.. I might even make my normal time of going to sleep around midnight tonight..
AW.. that is some cute cute puppies.. er.. children.. er daughters.. er SONS!!!!! The next best things to old people and children are animals!! Such unconditional love!!

I have been pondering this for some while now.. most of you KNOW I am curious( or nosey) by nature... I have wondered why "we" have chosen our usernames... surely there is some story behind our choices. I don't know if it might incriminate us in any way if we told, but that doesn't stop me from asking..lol.. Mine is just short and to the point. You do know I didn't lose much sleep figuring mine out lol

beck5711... for Becky and the 5711 was the street addy I was raised on. Couldn't get much simpler than that!
Also I think it would be a great idea to continue what Peg started some threads ago of "Getting to Know You" I like to know all I can about all my Hottie sis's and bro's... and since we have a bunch of new sis's and bro's.... I'll start:

Becky.. you know where I live..lol
Married 17 years.. for the 2nd time. Married the 1st for 20 yrs and had 2 children girl and boy. With my DH now we have 5.. he has 3 girls( living), and 2 deceased children. His only boy at birth and his youngest of Cystic Fibrosis
altogether.. we have 6 GC and 3 GGC.. all living about everywhere but here..lol
Had a pig farm in TN.. worked like a dog
I love people and I love to talk!!

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Peg.. I read about the photo contest.. YES.. that is the most beautiful pic I have seen and it really should be #1 winner!! Get Bonnie to submit it... I'll push her too!! YAY!! I can see it now!! Cause it has to win!!

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

oh love the doggie pics!!! So cute you guys! Peg I agree, this place is a great place and we shouldn't limit it. We do show off our brugs!!! That is what brought us together!
