DAILY PICS Vol. 143

Marlton, NJ

Love the Blue Tit and Robin!

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Me too...I do believe they are my favorite on that side of the pond! Those Robin's have to be cousin's to our Blues!!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Wallaby, cat picture cracked me up b/c I was trying to get a decent shot of this bird and my dogs kept barking, running around and scaring it away just as it was coming down to the pond. I had to keep reminding myself that I love my dogs more than any bird!

The birds are definitely migrating! Here's a northern bird, a Black-throated Green Warbler.

Seems to be a new group of Red-bellied Woodpeckers. I have not seen any of the old ones from last year. Which makes me kind of sad...

Decided to take a chance and put out the caged feeder I reserve for the Buntings just in case any are around. I had not seen any yet, but a few minutes after I put it out I checked and a female Painted Bunting was eating!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Alright GP... We will be waiting for pics!!

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

That's awesome GP!

If you build it, they will come.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Just got back from walking the dog and look who we saw this morning...the headless no more Barred Owl!!!!! HOOO HOOOOO

I would be thrilled to see that! Awesome!!!

Melbourne, FL

It was way too dark for any pic of the Bunting this morning. The feeder is located very close to dense shrubbery for their protection, and this first female seemed very skittish. It will be a long season of birdwatching here, I am seeing more activity every day. Quite a few unusual birds flew over this morning, but way too fast for any pics. I am pretty sure I saw a Kestrel one street behind me.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Oh I was believe me..Standing there saying "thank you" and "man you are soo awesome", "sooo beautiful" over and over out loud!!

Heading back to see if it's still there...but my batteries are about dead and I haven't recharged the other set yet!! aarrrgh

Boy, I feel like I should get a better camera so I can post some good pictures here. People must have some really amazing camera equipment to get such high quality shots!

Nice shots everyone!

I wasted my whole morning trying to get shots of a Golden-crowned and
Ruby-crowned Kinglet with no success.

Here's 2 pics of a Red-bellied Woodpecker.

Pelle, the last photo of the Woodpecker is great. I know how fast you have to be to catch those wings! Good job.

Love seeing all the other photos too, especially that owl.

This thread is sure moving fast and I'm loving these pics!

GP..You are so lucky to get all the Buntings...I miss the male Indigo's but still see the females and juvies. I am really looking forward to seeing your threads on the Colorful Buntings this winter! That Grackle shot is beautiful...I really miss seeing them!

Nanny...That is a wonderful shot of the Owl...I would wet my pants for sure if I could get a shot like that...congratulations!!

Pelle...Great shots again...love that Chickadee! I hear ours around but they aren't visiting the feeders yet!

ducbuclin...Awesome shots...love the Bald Eagle!!

I have spent the morning enjoying watching the Bluebirds checking out their nestbox...what a hoot they are. While watching them I had some Woodpeckers show up. Here is a Northern Flicker!

I think this is a Yellow-rumped Warbler...but please correct me if I am wrong. It was moving quickly all over the walnut tree and my neck got stiff from having to look straight up!
