Here is a recent shot of the first White Crowned Sparrow on the brush pile. I think fall has arrived on the farm!!

Oooh, White-throated Sparrow. Cool. I had to go by sound because I could never get a good look at them, so I need to look them up so I know how to tell the difference next time. That or it has been these guys hanging around all the time and I've just been wrong :o

Your Hawk is becoming a regular visitor, Pelle. I was out for a while, but it started raining. Here is an Osprey high in the sky.

Resin, you asked if there were more pics of the little one on the stalk. This is it in the tree after its bath. I thought it was another Nashville even though its doesn't seem to have as much yellow.

Oh I was so shocled and happy that the Northern Flicker came into the apple tree that I'm only about 12 feet from. The only problem was he was so deep into the other side that this was the only shot I could manage of him.

BTW, I had to chase away that hawk another 2 times before starting to take photos.

And look who came to visit! A Yellow-rumped Warbler!

He had absolutely no fear of me as he drank for a long time from the bird bath just 5 feet from me.

He's so adorable!

It seem to be getting a little lighter out now...been dark and overcast...so will head out to see if I can get anything. Had no luck earlier.

Ghosts don't scare the Piglets (Goldfinch) and Frank the Frog doesn't seem very scared.

Thanks guys, the peeping tom was pretty hilarious. He tried to walk along the window frame and then just decided to peek in. He'd walk away and come back and peek in some more. Wished I would of thought of using the movie setting.

I'm mad because I had the perfect opportunity to get close pics of the Nuthatch, got one of it's back when it turned up. It knows how to make a quick getaway with a nut now! I had altered the settings to take a pic of an Anemone dangling in front of me in the shadows, it turned up just after, I had only changed half the settings but was still on 'P' so with a high EV I took 3 lovely well over-exposed pics!

The Coal Tit keeps coming back, sun went.

Robin made a brief appearance, through a gap in the Wisteria. A Great Tit just in view too.

A ragged looking Great Tit.

Straypuss came to scold me for not feeding him once again, while I was squatted waiting for the Nuthatch to return and getting eaten by gnats, with the guilty Anemone behind.

Oh what a wonderful cat! Great expression :)

I love robins - I saw this one at the bird of prey centre going in and out of the enclosure with the guinea pigs in (stealing their food perhaps?)
