question for y'all ....I plan on dressing proper for an interview even though I already know all of them and no one really dresses professional office dress BUT this is an interview so ya have to put your best foot forwards.....sooooo
do I wear a skirt and sweater (nice ones of course) or more slacks and a sweater/top? and yes will have hells to wear wtih which ever I wear.
I'll probably take the bottom part to change into after my route and wear jeans to drive in ...although the thought has crossed my min dot show them you can wear heels and drive a bus LOL

I did that a few years ago, and when he lost his job, he lost the truck also, but did not tell me about it till he was 6 months late with payments. it was re-posessed, and guess who is still paying for it???

I have been outside gathering plants, and getting things ready for the round up! I can't wait to see BJ, and everyone else over there. I go to pick up a rental car Thursday afternoon, and as soon as I can cram everything in it, I will be on my way!!!

Hey, Y'all! I have a bud on one of my brugs! I just found it. Didn't even know it had y'd! It's about 4 in. long! Yippee!!!!

Cindy, those cannas went into the mail yesterday... you should get them tomorrow... sorry I was so late getting them off... things got kind of hectic around here.

Yep, when they told me at the hospital when my first son was born that there are "NO guarantees" that come with the babies... I figured then that I should get creative. I figure we could all live in a better world if each of us just work on one child at a time... and what better place to start than at home. Too bad our schools corrupt them, though.
I won't bore you all with all the stories of things I did with that son to help him in school... but another interesting story comes to mind... I think he was in the 6th or 7th grade, and had to make a science project... not my fav thing... so, we went to the library, and got a book on some projects he might be interested in doing... we picked one that was suppose to run on a battery, and had an arm that lifted up... can't remember all what it was about... anyway, the night before he was suppose to take it to school, we still couldn't get it to work right. The next morning we tested it again, and it worked perfectly. I noticed that there had been some changes made on the board.. wires moved, that sort of thing... Then, my oldest son spoke up and said he got to thinking about it in his sleep, got up, fixed it, then went back to bed. He got his one and only A in science that year on that project.

Had my house half decent for LK to come for the weekend... then Don decided to till the beds in the secret garden this morning... now, the whole outdoors is tracked back into the house again... ugh... oh, well... LK is coming to see ME, not my house... THANK GAWD !!!!

Better go mow while Don's gone to Lowe's for flower bed edging...

Mud tracked in is Ok with me BJ. I am coming to see you, and if your house looks like mine, after I have been in the garden, then thats OK. ^_^ I will feel right at home!
Glad to hear your son got an A on his project. That was very ambitious for him to get up in the middle of the night, figure out what was wrong, fix it, and get an A. Nice job!!!

Phyllis, I vote pants or pantsuit also. You will look just fine and probably feel more comfortable ie: be more relaxed during the interview. What is a team leader and what will your responsibilities be? (I'm helping to prep you. lol!)

BJ, is there a camera place near you? I can't find my charger, and my one and only battery is dieing? It is a kodak easy share P850. Wal-mart, where I bought it, does not carry the accessories.

No, LK... we don't have a camera place... but you're going right through Austin, and you should be able to find one there... all we have here is Walmart for that sort of thing.

LOL Debra...a team leader is a bus driver that ha moved up to be "in charge/lead" the drivers put under them ...helps in training new drivers and whatever else the transportation department needs done ...LOL
I wouldn't have a bus route per say but if one of the drivers under me is out and we have used all the unassigned drivers then i would drive a route also

Linda, when I bought my camera, I got all the accessories right then, at Wal*mart. I'm surprised yours didn't have them. That sucks!!

I bought it all then, but that was 2 years ago, and now my camera is considered old, and they carry all the new stuff now, nothing for the older models!

Oh Linda Kay, no I wasn't go to co-sign for a car for my son. He had a rental car as he had been out of town and needed someone to pick him up and take him to his house. His wife and girls are out of town. DH and I did that years ago but now he is older he hardly lets me buy or do for him. Very stubborn and independant!!!

BJ, Thanks...do you know the names of these cannas? You said they were tall red, right.

Does anyone know what kind of plants would be good to plant in between the rocks. It's gets late afternoon sun thru the summer.

Cindy, maybe some ornamental grasses, or some ivy would pretty, to fill in the rock spaces.

Cindy, the tall red ones are called Giant Red, and the yellow ones are called Richard Wallace... the RW I have have the freckles in the throat of the bloom... very pretty.

Phyllis... I agree, a nice pair of pants, and a blouse or sweater... and heels... you'll look so pretty.. they won't even know you when you walk in the door... LOL... good luck.

I can't find new batteries, other than the kodak web site, and rip off ones on ebay. and they won't be here in time for me to take it to the round up! Even if I could find a new battery, I could not charge it, I lost my charger somewhere!
So unless I get a new camera, I won't be able to take any pictures!
Hmmmmmmm, new camera, wonder if hubby will understand that one, Maybe an early Christmas present??? LOL

well, bad news. Doc says it can't be my meds after all causing these nasty headaches, and recommends I take the same meds for the headaches that I'm already swallowing by the bottlefull. says the thyroid med is the same formula as before, just a different brand name.

LK I just got a new Sanyo VPC-E760 on sale at WalMart for $80...it has macro, video, landscape, portrait, night portrait, audio and auto settings....comes with battery, charger, strap and a little drawstring bag to protect it....I love it. Does great closeups in the macro setting....unfortunately this picture I did not have it set on macro! I have sure been having fun with it......

I would have to go down and look to remind myself what I have panted among the rock...
Trisha... that's a sedum too... I have the same one growing between my steps...

I think I have some jew... purple stuff that gets a little white bloom on it...
I also have some creeping jenny money wort... very delicate and and grows fast.
There's also a varegated thing that looks a lot like liriope, but it's not, it doesn't bloom... some kind of ornamental grass.

I'll have to go down and look in a bit and see if I can name any more of them.
