Do you have to cut these back in the fall so they grow bigger the next year?
Lilies, ice plants and hostas
don't know about ice plants ... but not the other two
Your winter temperatures will probably zap the hostas. Once that is done, just clean up the mush and mulch them with leaves. The lily question depends on the variety. Ice plant is a succulent often seen along California highways. Is your property on the beach? I wish you well. Edited to say that Hostas and Lilies are botth perennials. Hostas die back to the ground during low temperatures and emerge the following spring. Hostas need cold temperatures to expand. Hope I haven't confused you.
