Is it possible to grow onions in containers?
Onions in containers?
Leetom - thanks! How deep was your container. I couldn't seem to find out how much room they need. I have some of those long narrow containers similar to yours and was wondering if I could use that. I am planting Red of Florence which is a torpedo shaped onion.
They are 18 inches deep, but the onions seem to have a shallow root system I think

Most importantly, make sure you use a nice loose soil/soiless mix that won't pack down like a cheap potting soil will. You don't want skinny onions. LOL
I'd sure like to be in Boca about now!
