I have this plant that and this stuff is coming up in the dirt. I cleaned it out once and noticed this morning that there is more coming up. It seems to keep coming in the same place. It really kind a looks like that expanding foam that sprays out of a can is really what it looks like to me. Please help.
I can't be sure from the picture, but from your description it might be some sort of slime mold. They're kind of ugly and gross but as far as I know they don't hurt plants.

Should I just try repotting the plant to get rid of it completely or what? It is just in the one house plant that I have noticed. Just in the one spot I cleaned it out and it came back in the same spot.
I don't think it'll hurt the plant, but if you don't like looking at it then you could try repotting in some fresh potting mix--make sure to shake off as much of the old potting mix as you can.
