Hard to believe how fast each one of these threads goes by! Spent some time outside this morning but all I could get were Doves and Squirrels mostly. Maybe I'll have better luck later today. Still awaiting the return of my winter visitors, the Painted and Indigo Buntings.....here's a Collared Dove.
DAILY PICS Vol. 140
Look at that beak! Even an immature Bald Eagle is a sight to behold! Lucky you!
gardenpom, actually, I am indeed fortunate to be near Bald Eagles. It's amazing how they have recovered here in the Chesapeake Bay area. In the next few months, my photo activity of Bald Eagles will be picking up. One strives for that perfect clear, sharp photo of the eagle grasping a fish as he just rises above the water. Sometimes the lighting isn't ideal and then sometimes the photographer (me) just screws up ! Nonetheless, some days I have taken 300+ photos, all of eagles. I like the challenge .... and it's a beautiful sight.
The photos are beautiful linthicum. There sure isn't much time to take each shot and I surely know how the lighting can change depending on the direction the Eagle is flying.
Thanks for starting the new thread GP! Like the Mockingbird.
Linth, Wonderful pics!

Nice pics GP and Mrs Ed! I love the Downys they are quite friendly litle birds!
That is cute! The cats adorable!
Thanks, he's my baby! 12 pounds of furrball!
I find downys some of the easiest birds for me to photograph. I wonder why. Perhaps because they stay long enough for me to get a shot.
Love the what's he looking at AND kitty shot!!
I thought of you when I spotted that warbler!! lol
Nanny, you'll hit that 100 for sure, for your bird sighting list. Have a lot of new Warblers there!!! Love seeing all the different kind.
GP the BlueJay on the wire is really nice and love yours and Elphaba's Dove the doves and Elphaba dove too.

Mrs-Ed cute Downy. They are fun to watch at the feeders. I see the Downy often but haven't seen the Hairy WP,for quite some time.

10 thirsty American Goldfinches.

Thanks Pelle
Oh they are so precious!!
They grow up so fast don't they?
Nice photos, everyone. Hopefully you all don't get tired of Bald Eagles or other waterfowl because that is where I will be concentrating my efforts over the next few months. Migrating waterfowl is always a welcomed occasion.
Here is another photo of the type I like to capture, but with better overall lighting. This is when one needs a flash that reaches out several hundred feet.
Cute downy nanny!
Very nice catch Linth!
I can't wait till this weather clears so I can get down the shore (Cape May) to start shooting. I would love to find a place with eagles though.
Oh linth, so fun. We have three Eagles on our small river here in the winter. I'll have to get some pointers from you.
