Fan flower

Fairmont, WV

I planted a beautiful Fan flower this summer, Is this something I can cut back and bring in for winter. I have tried to propagate but haven't been successful yet. I have been bringing in my Blue Daze for the last couple years and it does great. I just wondered if this would do the same???

Fan flowers are sold as house plants. I have my first this year and I do plan to bring it in for the winter.

I haven't had success propagating scaevola either. Last year I had a particularly beautiful one, so I brought it in for the winter. It seemed to be doing fine, but after bringing it back out in the spring, it took until mid July to bloom again. It may be due to the fact that we had a cool, wet spring, so I am bringing another pot in to see how it does. If the results are the same next year, I would have to say that it isn't worth over-wintering.
As for the evolvulous, I have one that is 7 or 8 years old, and it gets more beautiful every year. Sounds like you had the same result with yours.
