I have been successful in getting seeds from daylilies to sprout this year and have some seedlings that are about 3" to 4" tall that are still in the sunroom. If I put the seedlings outside for a week or so to harden off, will it be safe to plant them outside in my new bed this fall, or should I overwinter them in the sunroom?
Can I plant my daylily seedlings outside this fall?
You live in a warmer climate than I, so I don't know what to tell you. You should post your questoin on the Daylily forum. There are lots of southern growers there and I'm sure they can tell you if it's safe to plant such small daylilies outside for the winter.
Thanks pastime -- I will ask on the Daylily forum.
