Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Speeding off to the rescue tables at Lowes, wuz ya now, BJ? Tisk Tisk...ROFLOL
Defensive driving?...is that like dodging and swirving? What is Offensive driving, straight ahead, pedal to the medal, steady as she blows?

Good for you Cindy! That can be a long drawn out process, you are fortunate that your lawyers where on top of your case. I know what you've gone through waiting.

Jaye, do cajun words ending in aux pronounced doe?

Judy, you speeding through? When are you going back to the cabin? The buffet table that's in your living room, does it have a middle pull out drawer with a felt or velvet bottom? My granny had one like that to keep silverware, The real stuff. I couldn't believe folks back in her day used their silver for everyday use.

Marion, I hope you and Kim are in agreement about what to eat. I had to fix two different meals for supper, Scott wanted homemade chicken salad (w/jayes pickles!), Larry wouldn't hear of it. Cooked pinto beans, lace cornbread and country style ribs. I'm having a little of both.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Ugh... I just stopped on the way home and got a Jack Burger...
Ya'lls dinner sounds better.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Hey we had hot dogs here LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yes Deborah, anything that ends in 'eaux' is pronounced "oh".
I like chopped sweet pickles in chicken salad too, but Kel won't agree to it. So I made just for myself!
Any dinner sounds good BJ, if one doesn't have to cook it! Country ribs of course can make any mouths water.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Evening Sistah's. Sounds like you all had a busy afternoon?
Cindy so glad to hear the good news! Here is a glass of bailey's to salute you!!! And only 4 motnhs, that has got to be a record in itself. Mine took almost 4 years.
We had Mexican food tonight, take out from a place called Julio's. Good spicy brisket, and taco's...
Gonna go and prop up my foot for a bit.

Ladies, have a good evening, and sweet dreams.
Linda Kay

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Think I'll be having hungry dreams LK :P
Brisket! Yumm.. yummm

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Has anyone heard from Stacey today, I don't remember seeing her post? Is she in jail??? LOL
I hope not?
Linda Kay

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

She must be sleeping off her allergy! She did post this morning.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

mmm brisket sounds good but oh well after pay day LOL

got my first step for the santa done but still need to get the soldering done on the 2 iris I cut out and foiled Sunday.
My monitor-the gal that rides wtih me just called and they are keeping her mom for more tests she took her to the ER this afternoon so she didn't ride with me and they did a few tests and say she is having mini strokes and that she may have had them off an on since 04 so they are doing more tests to see why the other tests done the other times she went in showed nothing. ...so she is staying at the hospital tonight with mom.
So If I may ask in your prayers if you don't mind including Ms. V my monitor and her mom ..Please and thank you!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Mibus, big prayers from this side of Texas, going thier way.
God Bless to all
Linda Kay

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You got it Sistah! I'll have her name and her mum on my prayer list.
By the way, the sistahs list on the top, I'm glad you ask me to put it back Phyllis. It's a good tool for me to go over all our names and pray...and I won't leave anyone out.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

You got mine too... that little lady should really feel the prayers going on for her tonight for sure.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Add more here Phyllis! You already have your coat made for the santa? Speedy aren't we!! Not foot to metal type either. LOL

Deborah, yes Kim and I ususally agree on what we have. Her breakfast pizza is rather good, light and not overly filling. Left room for a treat--ice cream!!!

Jaye is that Nor'easter going do anything your way? Was watching the weather channel and it mentioned the coastline with high waves, etc. Going to be rain for sure.

I,too, have noticed Tink has been on much today. Do hope she is okay. Haven't seen much of Tia--birds must have her busy for sure.

Linda Kay, foot up!!! Got to get you well so you can come walk on the Florida beaches, remember?

Deborah, send me a slice of cornbread please!!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

We're supposed to be having severe thunderstorms, Marion. Kinda confusing listening to different metereologists.
I got some fabric for the Santa, but I am thinking of getting a different color now. Will do mine this weekend, Lord willing.
Law and Order season premier coming up in a few. If I doze off on the recliner... have a good night my sistahs.
Love you all bunches!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I am going to call it early bed time tonight. Didn't rest well last night--couldn't get comfy!!

Enjoy your show Jaye, nite all. Be safe!!!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Yes Marion I do isn't hard at all it's all straight lines LOL
I picked up 3 colors not sure which one I wanted ( red or blue) and one for ms. V ( her fav color is purple ) for a gift for her ...she is a transplant from New Orleans so I thought it would be nice to give her a Santa to help kinds replace stuff she lost in New Orleans.

I'll take a lil of that rain they say none here for aleast a week now LOL

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

nite Marion sweet dreams

Okay BJ, I'm going to that site, now.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

My pc froze :(
But managed to view a few. Poor Haitians, one of the poorest countries in the world..I'm sure if they have a choice, they'd move elsewhere.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

and THANK ALL OF YA for the added prayers I knwo she will appreciate them

Morning girls

Two women were out for a Saturday stroll with their dogs.
One had a Doberman and the other had a Chihuahua. As they walked down the
street, the one with the Doberman said to her friend, "Let's go over to that bar
for a drink."
The lady with the Chihuahua said, "We can't go in there.
We've got the dogs with us."
The one with the Doberman said, "Just watch, and do as I
do." As they walked towards the bar the one with the Doberman put on a pair of
dark glasses and started to walk in.
The bouncer at the door said, "Sorry, lady, no pets
allowed."
The woman with the Doberman said, "You don't understand.
This is my seeing-eye dog."
The bouncer said, "A Doberman is your seeing eye dog?"
The woman said, "Yes, they're using them now. They're very
good."
The bouncer said, "OK, come on in."
The lady with the Chihuahua thought convincing the bouncer
that a Chihuahua was a seeing-eye dog may be a bit more difficult, but thought,
"What the heck," so she put on her dark glasses and started to walk in.
Once again the bouncer said, "Sorry, lady, no pets allowed."
The woman said, "You don't understand. This is my seeing-eye
dog."
The bouncer said, "A Chihuahua?"
The woman with the Chihuahua said,
"A Chihuahua? They gave
me a Chihuahua ???"

LOL-that one was cute!!

I was busy working yesterday then had some things around the house to do....so I had to stay off the puter-once I get on, I tend to be on wayyyy too long:)

Jaye-I eat a lot of cereal for dinner when DH works at night and things that are frozen and stuff-I am not a cook and hate cooking, so I do things that take minimal effort on my part!!LOL ??-what are square douts w/o holes??

Debra-I was gonna ask if Morgan was hunky-but the kid in the red shorts has possibilities:)

I am with you Auntie M-dispite my best efforts, I seem to accumulate crap-then once a year have to spend a few days getting it all situated and stuff tossed..

BJ-I miss Jack in the BOx-they have the best fast food burgers and shakes!!

Well, for DH and I we deal with stress very differently-he likes to play golf, and I like to craft or garden...we have been trying to do date nights like every other week or so-we were going to go to a local HS football game on Fri, but now he has to work:( But we found that too-after a while, you tend to get parallel and need to regroup and get back to the basics I think....I used to bring him cards quite frequently, then after about 3 yrs of getting nothing from him, I stopped-he really isn't a giver-I know that sounds bad, but in the 11 yrs I have been with him I have gotten floweres 3 times and once was because he screwed up BIG time....he did surprise me alst year with a toad lily I had been wanting from the local nursery and was too cheap to spend $13 for it for myself!!LOL Now if I buy myself a plant I just thank him for it and he laughs and says he is glad I like it;)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

It isn't you-just the sea:(

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh no! Kathy why didn't you call me? I love anything from the sea----oops! Just no lobster salad yet!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

No-no more lobster salad!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

marion, plenty left over, come for lunch

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh how I would love to for sure!! Not just the menu but to see all your little animals and flowers. Unfortunately I have to met my son at Lowe's to spend more money on the dungeon!!! He (yes, he is still alive) took a wall down he didn't like the looks of so need to get materials to replace it. Thank goodness it was the paneling and not the new drywall he had put up. Way to much of a perfectionist for me!!!

Raincheck?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

you are welcome anytime lady marion

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh thank you--same goes here you know!!!! That is why I get so aggrevated when son does things like he just did!! I want the blanktey, blank room finished, done, complete, over with!!!! Do I sound impatient?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

i would sound the same way. give him a kick in the butt to hurry him along

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Have tried that, even withheld making him a meatloaf one week!! Nope, still going have it to met his inspection or not at all. Guess that is a good thing but it is beginning to get old now. I want to finish unpacking after almost 3 years, I want to love my sewing machines and fabric, play with my craft books, in other words I just want it done!!! Men!! Even if they are your son. LOL

How are all the little, growing to fast, ones?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

they are doing fine. spunky as all get out. keeping fingers crossed for a hatch sunday

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone. Who is hiding the coffee???
Linda Kay

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Maw'nin!

Shrimp fettecine, country ribs, brisket, breakfast pizza ..... yummy! Deborah, what is lace cornbread? is it fried? We eat a lot of beans and cornbread around here.

Yep, Stacey, the one in the red shorts is definitely hunky. He tends to take his shirt off when he's working, too. Lawd have mercy! I have to remember I have a child older than he is. He's the best worker. Not only does he not require supervison, he has great ideas (he's a horticulture major) and a very good work ethic. Morgan is a good worker as long as he has supervision and you don't talk to him much. He's a very friendly guy but doesn't have the same work ethic. He should be here any minute ......

Phyllis, let us know how your friend's mom is doing, ok? That's such a sweet idea to make a santa with a LSU purple robe.

Started feeling sore last night from having my feet knocked out from under me. Woke up very stiff this morning. Having Tylenol for breakfast. lol!
