Deer and Summersweet or Ruby Spice Clethra

Does anyone know if deer like this plant? I checked an extension list and didn't see it. Deer don't usually like plants with strong fragrance so I am hoping.

I don't know about summersweet but it is true that deer don't normally like strong smelling plants. Do you have enough to try a small piece to see what happens? That way, if they eat up the sample, you will still have some to put where it's safe.
