Garden Photos Part 38

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Pretty romantic Karen, very nice.
Victor I love the burgandy reds that appear at this season.
Those leaf photos are great.

GE and Karen - I'm in love with your work. Jan has done some nice pieces too - Jan - you should post a few.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Very nice ladies!!!! such talented people... love it... I can't draw anything... but I can color...actually it's the only thing!

Thomaston, CT

Loved the birches, Jo Ann & your drawing, Karen--would like to see that on a tile. Victor, your plants still look beautiful---mine are not looking too great. I do have some nicotiana just about to open--the seeds are in the soil, & they pop up about now--can't get rid of them! Also some hollyhock reblooming.

And a few dianthus--have a whole row of them as edging, but just a few are reblooming right now.

Randy's newest project... the rack for the wood pile

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Love the Halloween pics, Allison! Guess you're done mowing the lawn. Good thing you have that wood pile with the cost of heating. Here's my first toad from a few minutes ago. Your pics reminded me to go check! Thanks.

very pretty Victor.... we are putting in a new wood stove insert in the fireplace this year.. if it comes down to it just have to sleep in the living room

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I considered a fireplace insert when I shopped for my pellet stove but decided to go with a free-standing one. Worked out better for me because of the location/layout. I'm very happy with it. Just wish the pellets would stop going up so much!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

there were too places already out of pellets here.... better buy early

and the reason we went with the wood one.... I would love to put a free standing one in my dinning room... it's a better spot to heat the house... but it was more expensive then just getting the insert... so it will do for now

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ordered my pellets a while ago. Still waiting for delivery. I still have some left from last year.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

good.... the one place when we went about a month ago... said they weren't getting another shipment in till oct... and most of it is spoken for

the good part is I am close with a few tree companies... they always take care of me when I need wood... sometimes I get it free if I call at the right time... just go pick it up at the site they are working with my truck

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's great. Wood can be expensive too.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it's good to be friendly sometimes

:)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'll have to make some pellet co. friends.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

good idea

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

The store where we get our pellets changed suppliers and the last shipment smelled like hamster shavings(with the poop) it was NASTY and stunk up the whole house, we still have to go thru almost 1/2 a pallet.
Those are some creepy decorations ya got there Allison. Do you do a smoke machine too? I'll take pics of my friend's neighbors when we get over there.
Allison, I like that coleus in the upper left on post 5590559, it's really different.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Finally got a shot of my shy friend.

smoke machines! we have two.... and don't forget the strobe lights ... need a lighthouse on our block

and that coleus was a freebee from rosey dawn... looks nothing like the photo on the site... but that's one of the reasons I love these plants... in shade looks totally different then in the sun

mine was in shade
