I bought a couple packages on sale and have yet to try them. Have you tried them? How much do you like them?
Has anyone tried HydroSpikes?
I have never heard of them, let us know how they work for you!
I have seen them advertised but haven't tried them. I have many, many plants and my plants stay outside year round on my pool deck, back porch and front porch, I keep very few inside the house. It would be cost prohibitive and time consuming trying to fill the spikes for so many plants. I use the garden hose for watering.
I will be curious to hear how you and others like the watering spikes, but I think they will probably work really well, especially for small to medium sized pots. On large containers, I would make sure the soil is thoroughly moist (not soggy) before inserting the hydrospike because if the soil were fairly dry I don't know if the little bit of water trickling from the spike would do any good.
Keep us posted on how they work for you!
