Turned out to be a gorgeous day. Just came in from sitting by the pond for over an hour. Just perfect!

South Hamilton, MA

Turned in to a rather warm day after a cooler start. Breeze turned it into light sweater weather, but visiting DD helped clear a flat part of the roof of weed trees growing in leaves & are they a great mulch!

Nice poem, Jo Anne.

Thomaston, CT

Glad you are getting out, Jo Ann--no fun during gardening season. Nice yesterday at the farm--today was miserable to start--then around 3 the sun appeared--went for a walk--and a latte! Now it is getting back to about 50----this is a cold fall!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

It was nice here this morning, went for a walk to see the egrets, then it was cool and cloudy, and now it is sunny and nice again.

Turned out to be a beautiful sunny afternoon after a cool start. Went for a long walk with DH and puppy.

South Hamilton, MA

Very cool today--warm weather predicted for the weekend which means the siberian iris foliage can be cut in comfort, stress, but comfort.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great day. Got lots done. Finished with the shrubs. Still have some allium from the co-op to plants and a few perennials. Have to re-pot a few things and transplant a JM.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

West of us has a frost warning, I may bring in or cover stuff tonight even though it is predicted west.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Yes, we have our first frost warning here in Western New York for tonight .... everything is in, for a change.

Thomaston, CT

It rained again today--what a surprise! But cleared around 2---our 1st frost warnings also for tonight--brought in the lemon trees, but may put them out again in a few days.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No frost warning here yet - 38 is the projected low. I see on the newsletter that we have fallen woefully behind in weekly posts! Only around 700. We used to be over 2000 all the time. I have definitely cut down. But it could be worse. The Upper Midwest had all of 11 posts last week!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I noticed that as well and thought we need to get in gear. I figured it was just the change from summer to the school year.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

we have a frost warning for tonight.... how depressing
