The magic is gone.
I'm impatient to have the surgical boot OFF. and the bandages GONE so I can live like a real human being and take a regular shower. Try doing "bird baths" for three weeks.
I have had a few close calls falling because of the surg.boot, its not much support.
I Took pictures of the garden today, hard to walk on uneven surfaces and stones and pinecones under the boot is uncomforthabl.
Guess Im better if Im b-----ng so much.
Monday the last pin comes out.

Todays Weather in Your Garden - 30
Granny would make us "irrigate our throat" with
1 tsp sea salt
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 cup warm water
She would make us lean over the bath and squirt it up into the back of our throat.
"Say GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH"
We had to weed around the rose bushes when we were bad.
We didn't argue with Granny. It wasn't as bad as it sounds. She had something like a ketchup/mustard squeezie with some kind of hose off it. Just squeeze and squirt. It did blast the white patches away. But, you have to do it three or four times a day.
That's very good, Deb! Was it in Garrison?
It was many years ago, on the way home from West Point.
Pretty pics of the Hudson River Valley--have been to WestPoint several times for football games, but not recently. I was a judge today at a charity dog show--over 50 dogs, many interesting breeds---but because it was for charity, the awards were for longest tail, best tricks, etc. It was lovely in the sun--got up to 70. Tomorrow am headed up to Goshen for a real dog show---we try to go every year.
Outside most of day trying to finish off the new bed I started back in June. It was real hot in the full sun.
It was 81 today, low of 52
Nice painting Deb.
The hudson River is a great subject and not many bad views.
Thanks for the picture Victor, is that another stream feeding into the river?

Pretty shot, Victor!
Deb - I'm very impressed with your oil painting! I think it is terrific! I'd love to be able to paint more than fish lips! LOL
70 degrees and starting to get a bit cloudy here. It was a lovely fall morning for the first day of autumn on our walk this morning. Then we both hit the garden to try to search and destroy the gallant soldier weeds that remain in the garden and that have formed flowers overnight. I dug some nice carrots and am getting in the mood to cook some garden stew!
Had some fog real early turned out to be a beautiful day.
High of 78 low of 57
Hit the upper 70's here too. Nice day.
Well things are starting to cool down here a bit...it gets to near freezing at nights sometimes....the days are anywhere from 16-20C right now...which is nice....I don't mind. We are getting a sun filled week which is grrrrrrrrrrrrreat!!!!
In the 70s, so DH could do painting where we just had some repairs & replacement of wooden steps.
70's today---I look like a crispy critter from all the sun at the dog show---talked to many nice people including a former customer on my former job as Sat. maillady--her Akita was best of breed. Also saw a very naughty airedale take the terrier group. My DS and grandkids met us there--I showed the girls as many breeds as I could---didn't want them to think all dogs were as huge and goofy as their own. Tomorrow am entertaining my Pittsford niece & her DH--plus 7 other family members----
Busy time for you, Robin! Sounds fun!
beautiful day today.... about 71 now... we got a lot of decorations up... and have a lot more to go... I will start posting some pictures for you guys to see... but for now I am going to pass out... i am whopped!
