Help
can anyone help keep these beauties alive !
I think they need a little more light than other impatiens. Moist soil and bright light seem to be right conditions. They do well with a half strength fertilizer for blooming plants every couple of weeks. Too much nitrogen will produce alot of lush leaves at the expense of flowers. I mist mine when I think of it....which is rarely, but they do like it. Also, watch for spider mite. They seem to love this plant. If you mist them, or rinse them with the hose fairly regularly this should help to control them. When they get too full, pinch them back. They quickly fill back in. The one you have pictured is so pretty.
growgirl's got you covered with good advice!
That's a beautiful bloom.... I love lavender/purple! Do you have a shot of the foliage of that one?
That is a beautiful bloom! Is it one of the New Guinea Impatiens? http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/204/ They do seem to require more sun than the Impatiens walleriana, "Busy Lizzy" : http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2301/
