CMoose Nice to hear from you. I havebeen trying to figure out the name of the lily at the begining of this thread and I'm inclined to think that it is 'Royal Present" not Royal Sunset. If you go to this web site and scroll way down you'll find it.

I think the snow should be gone by August, don't you think?
One good thing ...The bed I plan to plant my lilies in is the only place in the yard still covered with snow so the lilies should be protected next year ...if we get snow. We had a lot more than usual this year.
June is coming!! Yeah!!!

Am I Too Late To Post?
Albertarosy, mine are only half an hour away, but it that is a bit of a drive when gas prices are so high. How old are your's? How great to have them so close!
Muscadet was about 4' tall with huge blooms. I need to dig it and move it. It's been dwindling. It smells really good and is planted by the back door.
I store the dahlias on newspaper in a slatted crate and shove them in the bottom of a small closet. The dryer vent hose runs thru there, keeping it from getting too cold. In this room, where the closet is, it's just 67*. The computer is in here, so we get pretty chilly in the winter.
Chocolatemoose, glad the family is OK! Thanks! We started out with a 60' by 110' lot. Then we were lucky enough to get the ground to the north and put a garage up. Then we got the land to the south and moved a trailor off, keeping the 5 sided garage they built. The block tapers, so I have an odd sized yard. 115' south 187' east, 177' west and 91' north. I finally got the elbow room I wanted, but I could have used the last lot on the block :o) and moved the house.
Hmmm, good question on where Muscadet is. On one of the cold climate threads I'm sure. If I run on to it, I'll let you know where it is.
A good way to get good pictures of yards is to stand on a step ladder! I got most of my lilies from Dutch Gardens, but prices are going up all over and I need to make room before I get any more!! I never did make the lily bed I wanted. I don't want too big a bed or the scents will get lost.
WOW WOW WOW! Now that is a big bloom!
June is my favorite month. I try to recognize each day so it goes slow.
For the fun of it. I am in yellow. The purple dotted lines are each lot we have. There is one house to the north and one house on the pie shaped lot to the south. The blue is the next block over and they run true north and south. I like my odd block. The road leads out of town on gravel. The train used to run across the road in 1977 when my daughter was born. No more. No tracks or anything left.
