I have a beautiful rose of sharon tree with lilac/ wine coloured flowers in a small flower bed. What should I plant below the rose of sharon?

Heatherose, I have short, small flowered pink and light yellow daylillies around mine. Stella D ora and strawberry shortcake and another bi-tone pink and lavender one.
