How about Crack up?
You crack me up? ... has to do with eggs...
My mom called me a "big egg" when I did something dumb...
huh.. wonder if I would still answer to that name? LOL
She was subliminally programing you to acquire chickens later in life. You are the Big Egg---must find small eggs.
She gave me the $ for the bator too. Love her so much
Hello i have a question about my incu?
How about cooped up?
Yes Harmony--ask away!
What about Egg Head?
Or...
Bad Egg.
My family used to call people a bad egg, if they were bad (for a lack of a better term).
You know we were talking about building incu well i went to lowes and looked at the supplies got prices etc. (didn't buy anything did find a water heater pan thought it looked like a big bird cage tray) Sorry off subject i went w--mart and found a dimmer on clearance for $4 i got that and when i got home i thought hey instead of trying to make a new one maybe i could fix the one i have........I have a brower top hatch its the one looks like a tub with a lid. I love the turner it rolls the eggs from side to side love the fan it comes out of a tower in the middle and really moves the air.
I love the plastic bowel and lid it's so easy to clean my problem is i hate the thermastat its so worrysome i spend a week just trying to get the temp stable and then during the hatch i have to put a cloth on when it drops and take it off when it gets hot ITS A REAL PAIN!
My hatch's have been good but only because i practically slept with it to watch the temp.
My question is do you think i could disconnect the power to the light and somehow connect it to the dimmer is it worth a try do you think?
I think you could--or buy the hotwater heater thermostat at Lowes and replace the one in the Brower with that?
How much is the one at lowes do you know? Did the temp stay steady with the Dimmer?
The thermostat wasn't very expensive--under $50 and maybe more like $12. I can't remember exactly. If you look at mcamden's incubator sticky she lists the model.
The dimmer did work very well--but I did check several time a day and if you had to open the incubator you had to stay around to make sure the temp stabilized correctly. But putting the mark on the dimmer switch helped a lot.
I added a few more I found to the list.
Thanks Catscan for the link. Wow, they have a lot!!! but..we have some not on that list yet.
I'll post them there when I get it all collected.
I heard some chicken puns last night I just had to write down too!
