Any zone that has a "b" would be warmer and have a slightly longer growing period than the same number that has the letter "a" with it.

the a / b thing just helps me decide when I am trying to 'push the zone' and grow something that might not do that well here...

so if your in zone 7a and you want to grow something that is for zone 8...you may not want to push it....
but if you want to grow something suitable for zone 6 well...your closer to that zone :o)
