I'm new to these plants, but they sure are beautiful. This one is 3 years old and has developed a double head. Is this unusual?
Bird of Paradise
Not at all unusual for them to do that. Kinda cool, huh ?
HI Kriegger, I think your lovely plant is telling you it is happy growing where you have it and it has the right conditions, just remember that as your is 3 years old, another 3 years will be about the time to either leave it where it is to spread even more, or to lift it out and split it up to make maybe 2 or 3 new plants to transplant somewhere else or just to give the roots more room, not something everyone does, so you dont have to do this, but IF after that time you decide you should, you will be dealing with a monster rooted plant, just thought you should no this, well done, you have a beauty so enjoy. WeeNel.
