homedepot sells the seeds for about 1.50, I have never thought about growing them. i wonder if they are easy to grow? and do they take a lot of spaces, etc?
And according to this video, each plant can be harvested 30 times per season? true?

is it easy to grow artichoke?
They are a fairly large plant--I'd suggest reading some of the comments from Plant Files and then decide if it's something you want or not. Here's the general entry for globe artichoke, maybe you have a named cultivar but I imagine they behave fairly similar http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/914/
