Whether I've seen 6 monarchs butterflies,or the same monarch for 6 days in a row, because I never see more than one!!!
There very late this year,or they are by-passing Wichita ,Ks this year!!!
Can't tell!
I'm wondering if that means an early winter???
That may be. the farmer's almanac says a very cold and snowy one for us. We spent $2500.00 on propane last yr so Lord knows what it will be this time!!!! I have a sister that lives just up the road from you in Newton and her son or sons live in Wichita. Small world. BEV
Yep,Newton 28 miles north, work with a bunch of guys from Newton.
Yep it is a small world, unless you have to drive around it! LOL
Just found this thread.
We have had Monarchs & other butterflies here until just a couple of days ago.
Sure hated to see they are gone for now.
I have had a few more, but not many last weekend, they were fighting over what lantana flowers were left open!
How much further north are you from me here in Wichita?
90 miles... they have been on my butterfly bushes and Autumn Joy sedum
I trade plants wit a friend from Tescott.
You still have flowers on your butterfly bushes??
You still have butterfly bushes?? Sorry I couldn't resist ^_^ Jack has been here. Actually my butterfly bush doesn't seem to care.
