I saw this question on the internet and it never got answered so I was wondering about it possible for a red lily to turn yellow
I saw this question on the internet
What type of lily are you referring to? A "real lily" or a daylily?
Daylilies can vary in color due to weather cinditions, time of year, etc, etc.
Lilies from bulbs are pretty consistent with their colorings, but your red one may be a cross resulting from pollination of the yellow original one with some other color.
Yes some flowers change colour as they age on the plant, some roses start of almost white and then turn a pale pink colour when the flower is fully mature, I grow Rhododendrons and these plants often start as flower buds one colour and full opened flowers are a different colour, but rarely like purple turning orange etc, if you got the name type of lily then it might help others to come in and answer this better than I can. good luck. thankyou
