Tigerlily, I'm glad you stepped in to save the grosbeak! Good luck and good job! Also, I forgot to tell you how amazed I was by your bald eagle pictures -- just wonderful.

Margaret, your pictures are stunning. I really liked the New Holland Honeyeater.

Adel, all great shots, but I love that Quail!

Burn, Pelle, and Nanny, I'm so jealous of your goldfinches. I can't wait to see them again this winter.

Here's a White Ibis from a stinky bayou/drainage ditch in west Houston.

Thanks Resin. Thats what I thought but we haven't seen any Robins here in a while.
Nice to see one back.

I've seen several robins lately too after a good while of not seeing them. Where do they spend their summers? Arctic? Ah, yes, Canada.

I have to share this cruddy picture of a Turkey Vulture b/c I nearly lost my car taking it. I was lost and at a busy intersection. I saw this guy on the ground on the other side of a deep ditch. I decided to pull over on the grassy bank and take a quick picture. I was too quick and forgot to put the car in park. I jumped out and the car started going. Fortunately, I was able to get back in and stop it before it took the plunge. Can't believe that I almost sacrificed my car for a silly picture of a vulture!

robins do come to MA in the spring, a couple sillies can be resident. they are working on our cornelian cherry fruit now.

LOL Elphaba! I'm sure glad everything worked out okay. Nice pic!

I think the Robins are mini migrators and when the weather starts to get warm in the summer they go deep into the woods where its cooler. At least that what I've heard. :-)

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Robins migrate. Ours are leaving right now for the winter. They migrate to southern states & Central America. They is a small percentage that does stay year round.

Elphaba be careful...a few weeks back I did something similar..but opposite. I was driving and wanted to stop and for some unknown reason instead of braking...I just threw that puppy into park at 35 miles mph. I DON't reccommend that.... LOL

Linthicum Heights, MD(Zone 7a)

This morning was quite dreary here in Maryland so photo opportunities were limited. But shortly before I left to come home, I was treated to this photo op.

I'm awe struck! What a wonderful shot linthicum!

Nanny, I guess there's more than one way to stop a car! We'll both have to be more attentive drivers!

Outstanding catch Linth!

I see the one has a fish. Their such great birds.

Sorry, I should have said that I meant only in the summertime. (Robins)
