(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

LOL very true Kitty and I'm not too worried about the shoppers will only be drivin to the motel and then home unless I have a reason to stop someplace else but out side of Huston LOL

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh Phyllis, if you are that close to the Galleria you should try and go there...It is a stunning mall.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

I would love some cuttings from the angelonia plants everyone is speaking of. Mine is purple and it roots very easily in water. I haven't seen the other colors. Gee, I lead a sheltered life out here in the woods. LOL

I lived in Houston in 1973 when it snowed at the same time that we were having a hard freeze. I didn't go to work and no one on my street went to work.

The television station showed car after car spinning in circles on the roads. The second day I had to go to work. I had quite a long drive across town. I witnessed first hand the cars spinning as one barely missed me on the top of the freeway overpass. Fortunately it missed me. I didn't know which way to go as it was spinning and moving forward at the same time. I am sure I was one of the people going way too slow. I was terrified!

I love to see it, but don't want to drive in it. I don't know how to drive in it and I know for sure most everyone around here doesn't know how to drive in it either.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, if no one has pink angelonia for this swap, I'll bring you some cuttings at the Arlington RU.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Charlene.. I lived in Pasadena when that "big" snow fell..LOL I was pregnant with my 2nd child ( Timmy), and boy was I excited to see it.. I have pics somewhere...You say the angelonia roots in water??

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

For those who are interested in daylilies, I have spent the entire last week dividing mine and added quite a few to my trade list this afternoon. Some of the single fan divisions are fairly large; others are medium; a few are small. If the roots could be forced into a 4" pot, I potted them. They will need to be repotted or planted when you get them. The larger ones are temporarily planted in gallon pots, but I will bring them with roots wrapped in moist paper towel and plastic since I just won't have room to bring the larger pots.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

If not promised already could I have???

Morning DD
the Artimesia is it a short plant? not real tall ?
could I have one of them and a Yarrow and a Angelonia too?
they are said to be good companion plants for roses LOL

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

The artimesia can get about 2 ' tall and be very invasive. Not sure I would plant around roses. Will put you down for the other plants too.
I may have some water/pond plants for you if you are still needing them.
D

(Maggi) Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

DdeTex - Is that the lime green Mugwort? I have the variegated http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/48861/ but would like the lime green, if that's what it is.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

DD, I am glad to know there won't be any orphaned daylilies! If there are some that you really like, I'd be happy to put your name on them now. I would love to have some of your EE's, Illustris and any others, and a 'Hot Lips' salvia.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

David I would like to have some of your Asian Jasmine, your EE's, Illustrious and any others, and any small ornamental grasses you have, and the Turk's cap I asked for earlier. I'll bring you some of my Salsa if you'd like ☺ and of course anything else you want.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm here, finally... how did I miss this thread?... I really don't know...

I don't know yet what I have to trade... but I do know I'll have zinnia seeds... lot's and lots of giant mixed zinnia seeds...

perhaps some orange old fashion daylilies...

Yellow and Red Cannas too...

Don't know what else yet.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

I have you down for the stargazers David.. are you sure I don't have anything else you might like to try?? You gave me sooo many pretties at the J RU..

Gilmer, TX

bjwilson, please put me down for some of those zinnia seeds. I started some from seeds this yearand really enjoyed their bright, gaudy appearance in my garden.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

if nay are left I would love some zinna seeds too please :-)

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Catlady... if you've been dead heading those zinnias, you should have loads of seeds from them... but sure, I'll save you some.

You too Phyllis.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

bj I would love some zinnia seeds too please ☺

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Gotcha Karen...

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Thanks Bj

Everyone attending with or without plants please stop by the food thread

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/893536/

we need to get it going -finished up and a head count on it please

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

Hi, Pam, get out there and pop the seed off those zinnias. I'll be over to get them!!! Gee, have to do everything.

I have a lot of pink and white cleome seeds, celosia, mexican sunflowers, double purple daturas, and some named hosta seeds if anyone is interested.

I also have a ton

ONe more thing, I hosted a co op for germination supplies, trays, flats, humidity domes plug flats, 4 inch pots, web trays, . I've ended up with a lot left over. Ordered too much. I need to sell it and move it out. and if anyone would like some, I can bring it to the ru.

David, can I have a passion vine?

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Lorraine, I'd be interested in buying some of the humidity domes. Are they the 7" tall kind? Might be a big improvement on my 2-liter coke bottle domes. lol

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Lorraine I'll take some celosia & mexican sunflowers seeds if you have enough...Please and thank you

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

If anyone has any double pale pink althea rooted... I would give almost anything for a few... except my first born, he's already spoken for.

I need other trees too that won't get real tall. I've tried to root cuttings, with not much luck... so rooted would be better for me.

I'm also going to plant a butterfly and hummingbird garden, so anything that will attract butters and hummers will tickle me to no end.

Gilmer, TX

bj, I think I have a rooted redbud tree if you are interested. I'll check tomorrow.

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

BJ, would you be interested in tree seeds? I have several kinds, but I dont know how long they take to grow to any size.

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

As we did last time, I will get a list of the wants from each of you and bring the plants.

Maggiedew- the Mugwort looks and sounds like the plant I have and will bring. I have seen it in nurseries sold as Artimesia Oriental Lime Green. It is as invasive as reported on PF.

Patrob-I like the DLs that are in the pink and lavendar range of colors. Also like those with the ruffles. Really like the Song of Solomen and Spacecoast Extreme Fashion but many of yours are beauties.

DD

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

bj I have a HUGE pale pink Althea in my front yard that is 50 years old, my Grandmother planted it. I am not worth a toot on rooting myself, but if you are willing to try I will bring you a whole bucket of cuttings to play with....

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Karen... bring me a few.. I am getting "fair" at rooting cuttings... please... I don't have that one either

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure thing Becky!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Karen... I talked to my son and he said that he'd help me rooting them this time... I want some so bad I could scream... so, I would so love to have a bunch of them... the double pale pink is my all time favorite, but I do like other colors too...

Red bud is good too... thank you so much.

I've never started a tree from seed, I don't know if I have the patience for it. Except mimosas, of course... but I really didn't plant those, they just come up like presents.
