Garden Photos - Part 33

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

evie, I bet that we have the same thing then!!! this dwarfish purple one showed up amongst all my gardenveiw scarlet monarda's some years ago, and I had never remembered bying a dwarf purple! But, I liked it, so it stayed! I didn't get a good picture of it this year, I might have one from last.

Grampapa.... those are fantastic hummer shots!

JoAnn, that is a wonderful sunrise! you should paint it. It would make a great watercolor painting.

I had some minor surgery on Friday, so am now just taking it easy, no garden work for a few days or so. Just pictures. Here's a long view of the back yard.

Brooklyngirl.
Be careful what you fall in love with.
I think, only my opinion but it looks like the devilishly invasive wild morning glory or strangle vine.hard to get rid of. I painted the leaves with Roundup because pulling does no good. New shoots sprout from the teenyest pieces of root.Next year it will be ten times bigger,if that is what it is. Maybe someone else can give you better news.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

great shots all.... love the hummer & the butterfly is too cool

Thomaston, CT

Loved the hummer pics---they zoom by me--I can never get one still! Jo Ann--loved the sky! Debi--love your gardens & monarch hatching. Kim---that does look like a bad vine, not those beauties that Pixie is growing. Someone gave me an invasive MG a few years ago, & I finally got rid of it. Here is some that is not invasive for me.

Thumbnail by pixie62560

Why don't the nicer ones reseed?

Nilwood, IL(Zone 5b)

Pixie, I don't know why yuccas would not do well there. Look at this same one last winter. No pun intended but thier roots go to China!!!! BEV

Me too Deb, it's a dwarf but it's color is giagantic!

The ones you want to reseed won't.
