Ruby-throated Hummingbirds Vol.10
Well of course, I had my first one all summer on Sunday and that was a mature male. Haven't seen him since Monday though.
Great pics everyone!!
Yes, I still have one that I know of pelle. GM
What a cutie!
Nice ones burn!
I need to find some where to put a fuschia basket next year. Nice burn!
Wow all your pictures are wonderful!! : )
I can't believe how nice they all are - I can't get a good picture of a hummer for the life of me. They don't want me to take their picture and even if I get one they are always blurry. Some day I am going to get a camera that will take better pictures of things in motion. The one I have will blurr even at the slightest movement. : (
Sweet pics nanny!
aw, so cute.
Well mine have disappeared again. No sitings since Monday. I feel like I've really ticked off the hummingbird fairies.
Thats great!
WOW! That looks like a great lens there Mrs. Ed!
Thanks all.
Boy GM, love #2 of the long reach into the nectar!
Pell, I love the reflection of the feeder in the feathers of that one!
Beautiful pics burn!
Lovely images, Pelle, GM & Burn.
You're not still there waiting for a hummer to show up are you, Mrs ED?
Well Margaret, YES! I had a lovely adult male on Sunday and Monday. Later on Sunday only it was joined by someone else (female of juv male) who drove it off. Since Monday, nothing! I must say that last year they did not show up for me until Aug. 31, so there is still time.
Sunday I'm going to my Mom's where there are at least 5 or so usually! Camera and new lens in hand!!!
The Saga of Marna's Hummingbirds, Part 432.
Okay, what's the deal. I have a Hummingbird this afternoon not even going to the feeder. I saw it at a salvia, then later buzz overhead, possibly to the trumpet vine. Oh yes, he's at the trumpet vine now. Is it not gong to eat at the feeder?
Flower nectar probably tastes better!
