In all honesty, I have been enjoying all the photos, all are so clear and show such wonderful detail of these beautiful little birds! I hope I start seeing some Hummers return soon. I so enjoy the few I had last year and I could almost set my watch by their visits! Amazing photos everyone!!

Heehee nanny! I had the opposite problem today with them turning out too dark in that mode but it might be my lens.

Went back to shutter speed priority and caught this little guy showing off his first pretty throat feather that has come through.

He does look awfully proud of it!!

Speaking of thistle, check out this huge patch that I saw this weekend while looking for butterflies. Can you believe not a single butterfly? Lots of bees and bugs though.

They have really been busy the last few days though!

This morning when I was putting the feeders out, the little male juvie flew right and landed on the feeder while I was still holding it! It was sooo cute, he is so tiny...wish I would have had the camera with me!

and if you did, you could have never taken the picture because you were holding the feeder!!!

Well I've been on Fall Hummingbird Watch 2008 for two days now with not much luck in the photo category. Pelle has reminded me that I did not post any pictures, so I'll give you this poor one just for confirmation.
