hey BJ! Iv'e been in Emory 28 years. I may have known your parents as I worked at a bank here... I may have even known you!!! Knew a lot of people at one time. Not anymore though. Lost touch when I went to work in Greenville, and now I am retired! Yeah!!!!
oohhh.. yardqueen..I am really wanting to meet the gal that brings BBQ!!!..LOL... but that would cost a fortune to feed all of us.. just bring a small amount ( I'll make sure I am first in line..LOL)

We had a Rudy's open here this summer, and everyone just raves at how good they are, but I don't think they are that good. I will just keep eating my hubbies grilled ribs and rib eyes!

BJ, I worked at the "competition".... 1st Modern Savings aka Sunbelt Savings aka Bank of America... 1980-1994 during the Savings & Loan crisis or scandals or whatever you want to call it! Did you go to schoool at Rains?
Cat... And anyone else who wants to do this... It is an idea anyway. We could decide what we want and how much we need and I can price it and whoever wants to can help with the cost... its just an idea. Not everyone will want to I am sure and some may not even want BBQ
well we can plan on BBQ and then have the hot dogs as a option for anyone not wanting BBQ

So when we find out how many want to chip in and what all we would like, (Beef, Ham, Potato salad, coleslaw...) then we try to see a current headcount... and go from there!

Also, I think that the others that are bringing a dish can do that instead of going in on the BBQ. Also whoever bings the plates, cups, forks, etc. and other condiments...

Sounds good, I would just concentrate on the meat if it were me. There will be plenty of sides I think, or there were last time.
I'll go post a reminder for the food thread on the other ETRU threads to get everyone over here to put in their wishes.
Darkmoondreamer (what do we call you for short... LOL), did you mean we just need the meat from the BBQ? That is fine by me... Also some may want to just put it on a bun with chips, etc
If everyone wants BBQ... I don't have to bring the hot dogs..LOL I'd rather have BBQ any day..
yard queen why don't you find out what it would cost for BBQ for say 35-40 people and let us know that might help others say what they want to do then too

Yes, I was just thinking out loud, but I would think the meat and maybe buns would be the most important, as so many people bring side dishes, but I may be wrong. Let's see what everyone says ☺
Ok. but I can't call them till Wed. They are only open Wed-Sat. So if we are doing buns, will we want chopped beef? His is REALLY good and not fatty or gristly. He doesn't use scraps for it. He uses the same meat as sliced beef.
That sounds great!!.. I don't like the fat anyway..LOL
I'm bringing sweet tea and whatever else seems to be needed by the time we get really close.

I can bring anything, I will be at cat's place so anything that can be purchased I can bring. Just give me a holler at what you want me to bring. i can pitch in on the b-bq also, i dont eat much and it will be only me.
ok so before I edit the food list above we will wait and see on the BBQ price then and once we gt that we can go from there and I will edit what is above to reflect what we are doing and who's is bringing what then so we know what needs to be filled in.....there is a BBQ place on the way to the park too that I can call and ask pricing too if need be
