Daily Pics Volume 132
Really great shots of the Osprey, Margaret. With those shots, I'm confident that you will do well with the smaller subjects, also.
Nanny, nice photos of the Cardinal.
I agree, great shots! Margaret, you do have a good variety of larger birds there, it must be exciting to see them and photograph them. I never saw a Kookaburra but heard them occasionally.
Nanny, you'r doing well with the two-fer American Goldfinches, lol, it's not easy amongst grass.
Yesterday I heard the funny sound of young Wrens, a churling-grinding sort of noise. They were on my neighbours fence, one flew but I got some of the other. No sun at the time unfortunately!
I just love the way their little tails stand up!!
Margaret I love the Osprey cleaning shot and the Kookaburra is so handsome!
Nice cardinals nany!
Wallaby I like your wren, they always seem perky and cheerful.
Margaret, those pics are making me want to just go out and buy the Canon and that lense and just scrap my camera research. Your making it hard on me (smiles). Love those cardinals. I think they are some comical birds. Never seen nor heard of a Kukaburra. Nice shot of the wrens I never seen one here - cut little birds

Yah, if you can afford it, do it, do it!!
Both Rose and Margaret are doing a great job!! I have lens envy!
Nice pics evie! Love the last 2.
Good one nanny!
One thing I could not capture today was hummingbirds chasing each other. They are so fast! I saw 3 at once today, more than I thought I'd had coming by. The dominant one (I think?) kept chasing the others away and perching to watch. At least one of the others kept trying to sneak in by going from a different way, but that never worked out. I got lots of shots, though, of the one sitting in various places waiting for the others to return. Eventually there was just the one left and she (I think) took her time eating from all the monarda, lobelia and even the echinops.
Here she is sitting in one of the crabapples. This was a frequent look-out spot.
Nice ones evie; yes I see the one in the last pic. :-)
I have Lobelia too, they really love it!
Beautiful Monarda! Mine loved the Jacob Cline; which one is yours?
Yes I see him on the right hand bloom.
Great Chickadee pic GM!
Sweet chickadee GM
Evie, that's a nice combination of monarda.
Nice to see a Kookaburra picture, know of them from old Girl Scout campfire song.
pelletory - That should be "Gardenview Scarlet". Not exactly red though!
My birds all do that, Grandmaggie. I think I need to move the feeder -- the poor hummingbird is often scared away when the other feeders are busy!
And it is great you got pics of the chickadees. I find them so hard to film because they're always moving.
Met, The second one is a Common Grackle. the first one reminds me of a crow. :-)
Nice shots!
Thanks for the info pelletory
Yep, American Crow and Common Grackle.
