Hi, I am looking for Oxalis hedysaroides 'Rubra' (also known as Fire Fern). Does anyone know where I can buy this beautiful houseplant in Toronto? Thanks in advance!
Oxalis hedysaroides 'Rubra' - Where can I buy it?
Have you tried the internet?
Cheryl
The info in Plant Files: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/93159/ shows one vendor that has it for sale.
Unfortunately for Logees to ship to Canada you have to order $200 worth of plants and then on top of that pay $35 for a phyto certificate. Of course if you have that amount available to spend on plants they've got lots of great plants so it wouldn't be all that hard to spend $200!
king811,
What is the plant in your picture? It looks like Euphorbia cotinifolia.
LOL, I didn't think that foliage looked like Oxalis but thought it was just my eyes! Here's the link to Plant Files for Euphorbia cotinifolia: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/62010/ and it shows one vendor with the plant for sale.
That is, indeed Oxalis hedysaroides 'Rubra' pictured.
I got mine from Cowboyflowerman on ebay.
He also has a website www.secretgardenrareplants.com
Not sure if he ships to Canada, though.

Maybe the picture is indeed oxalis 'Rubra' (I see the picture is the same one on tropiflora - copyright?) but it sure is a sad looking thing.
