Wishing you a very happy anniversary. I'm so glad I found this site. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you very much for these wonderful 8 years, Dave, Trish and Team!
I will be attending a Chilean Native Flowers Congress from today on (3 days) and I plan to wear one of my 3 DG T-shirts every day ;o). If people ask me about DG (and I am sure they will), I will invite them to join and post pictures at the Plant Files.
Happy Anniversary!!!!!

How'd I miss this too???? oh yeah.....Im in a third world country where my inbternet wiring is a wire hanging from the upstairs balcony....so i dont get on as often.....
I remember spending hours and hours on end on Dave's..... what an addiction.......
congrats Dave and Trish.......you guys sure worked hard......You have a great site here......
Wow this site was just a baby when I stumbled on it in 2001.
Thanks for making this a great place.

So how many of the members who signed up that first year are still active? I'm guessing most of them!
Aug. 19 was our 47th anniversary. Congratulations on yours!!!
Bonnie
Zany, I'm still here........
Me too. I can hardly believe DG was just 7 months old when I stumbled in and realized I was home. It was already a thriving place with over a 1000 members and it was starting to grow at a juggernaut pace. There have been a lot of changes since then. Remember how excited we were when we could add pictures? Celebrating the first 1000 member mark? How about the 10,000? The first Chat? Your first trade? LOL this site has given us a lot of firsts!
Thanks for adding the juggernaut to this thread Zany. Dave really loves that word!
I think the following link contains my first mention of juggernaut.

Bonus points because the comment was precipitated by Big_Red, a great member who left us some time ago.
Nice memory.
Congratulations Dave on your 8th anniversary. This is a great forum

LOL Ya can't describe the growth here now without using that word can you? At least I thought I read that in the AUP... if not it should be there ;~)
Awww, Big_Red. :) And all of 1800 peeps. Wow.
Alittle late, but.....
Happy Anniversary! : )
Can't start a day without my Dave's Garden fix. : ) Thanks alot Dave and Trish for making this a very cozy place to be.

Congrats! Man, I love this place. ;~)
I'm off to look up juggernaut...
The juggernaut DG has elicited such blind devotion that it seemingly crushes it's competition as it grows exponentially. Often sacrificing other less important pursuits, like sleep, the membership advances knowledge, friendships and fun.
American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source - Share This jug·ger·naut Audio Help (jŭg'ər-nôt') Pronunciation Key
n.
1. Something, such as a belief or institution, that elicits blind and destructive devotion or to which people are ruthlessly sacrificed.
2. An overwhelming, advancing force that crushes or seems to crush everything in its path: "It doesn't assume that people need necessarily remain passive when confronted by what appears to be the juggernaut of history" (Christopher Lehmann-Haupt).
3. Juggernaut Used as a title for the Hindu deity Krishna.
yep, that sounds about right & I'm happy just reaping the rewards of all my devotion! Thanks to everyone at Daves for setting the standard, then pushing it over the top, so others can only aspire to achieve such a juggernaut. I appreciate you.
LOL, perfect description, and a belated Congrats! Glad I found Davesgarden!
Yes, sleep is the primary loss for me. Speaking of which, have a good night! ;)
