What is the blue flower up the post a bit?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

thx victor - looks like you still have a lot blooming - i've been lazy keeping up with the blooming here - snowflake looks good - i assume the bloom has been on for a while and it is changing color.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Funny story Thom, is a little startling when something suddenly moves that you didn't notice was there. Those flying black grasshopper things make me jump all the time. Love that deep purple hosta bloom.
Victor you are making up for lost time I see with lots of great shots. That Dragon's Eye is really striking.
Bill the Cardinal Flower and BES makes a nice combo and your sunflowers are colorful and cheerful. Sadly neither one has been a success around here. Your Pinky is slightly ahead of mine but here is a pic of mine. I really like this hydrangea a lot.

and finally from the wild side of the yard, a poke berry turning color ( I think that's what it is called), one of the first of many things to turn color now that the summer is winding down.

Hi, Kim. Glad you came back bearing pics. Absolutely wonderful! my passiflora is still pretty small. I think not enough sun. and veggies, too. good for you!

Victor, nice. Everything is nice.

Thom, I do like the flower on your hosta. I leave mine on anyway, but that one's really nice. Glad you didn't hurt anything but your dignity.

Bill, I especially like the maroon sunflower. never planted mine this year. :(

ngam, you actually got a 'Tiki Torch'! I ordered, but GC said there was a crop failure. Looks nice. do you like it? I love ALL your roses.

Booj, great to see you! even a shot of where your orchids are hiding :0)

I bought a small Mandevilla 'Alice Dupont'. Such a gorgeous bloom

Thanks, all. Jo Anne - I think the blue is a Russian Sage. Very nice shots, Pat. Love the rose and the cones.

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

It's planted on the patio with some 'Black Prince' snaps. I'm going to try to repot and bring it in for the winter.
