does crape myrlte do well in waynesville nc zone 7 in the mountains my one of my friends has 2 and they bloom good one year the cold did kill part of it but it came back but my other friend has one and his dies to the ground every year and never blooms this year it got big enough bloom this is the first time its bloomed since it was planted do they tollerate cold well I was thinking of buying one from ebay some one had them for sell for 2 of them for 9.95 + 7.50 shipping dynamite red one person has pink 2 velour for 5.99 + 6.60 shipping will both these colores grow in my zone also do angel truimpets do good in my zone and come back every year has anybody bought any plants off ebay and had good luck I had bad luck with autumn ridge nursery they keep sendind the wrong thing I ask for royal empress tree and they sent ash trees and when I ask for tuilp popolar they sent ash and the replacements were no good they were dead also do magnolias do good in my zone and why cant I find them in lowes or walmart in small sizes all they had was big $300.00 sizes . thankyou grassman1
crape myrtle growning zones
Crape myrtles do fine in zone 7, they shouldn't die back in the winter. Assuming when you say angel trumpets you mean Brugmansia, those won't make it through your winter so you'd have to bring them in. Magnolias should also be fine in your zone but if you want smaller sizes you might have to do mail order. The Garden Watchdog on here is a great resource for what mail order nurseries are good or not, if you stick with companies that are highly rated then you shouldn't have too much trouble.
