Burn...those Goldfinches look so cute on that bird feeder!

Shan...That Cardinal does look mad!!

Margaret...what a cute bird, and those eyes!!

Here is a group of juvie Red-winged Blackbirds ID'd by Resin. Our new pond has created a swampy area and I hope that it attracts more swamp loving birds!!

I believe this is a female Western Tanager. They were out in force, feeding on blackberries and cherries.

Dellrose, sweet pics. I think the blue likes you. By the way do you use a tripod when taking your pics or is this one a handheld? Just curious because the pics are usually so clear

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Thanks Methodical! Whenever possible I use a tripod or bean bag balanced on a sturdy surface. My camera and lens are kind of weighty and I even carry a tripod to the field now. This pic of a Song Sparrow was shot from a distance and hand held..I didn't think it would be as clear as it turned out. I was squatting and resting my elbows on my knees...I'm too old to do that..LOL!

Great pics everyone!

Margaret that Frogmouth is awesome!

tiger, Congrats on the Hairy!

Love the juvie Grackle Rose!

Is anyone else noticing their seeds being eaten alot faster than a few weeks ago?

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

My seeds and suet are lasting longer now that the piggies are leaving...ie. starlings, cowbirds, grackles. I will start putting safflower seed back out tomorrow.

Clinton, MD(Zone 7a)

I went on vacation last week and of course the seeds were all gone. But I replenish on Monday and I only saw 1 Cardinal and 1 Gold finch yesterday and the seeds have not been touched. Maybe they think the food is all gone because I was gone all last week. Hope they come back though.

Hello all. I started a new Daily Pic volume No. 132. I don't know how to do the hyperlink. Can someone tell me how.
