You might try posting this in the Plant & Tree ID forum. However, without a description of the plant that it came from I'm not sure if the people there will know either, but you've got the best chance there.

they could be Iris seeds or even Paeonias, but then again, could be anything, as Ecrane said, even a pic of the whole seed head would help as sometimes just the shape of the pod gives a clue, better still though, as suggested, the plant/tree or shrub it came from would be better. good luck.
