I guess you have figured out I am coming. Plan on bringing my neighbor, Kanta.

North Texas Fall Round Up, Saturday October 18th 2008.
I would love to come. I have come to one of your events in the past. But, being that I'm in a rental home this year and only have a small gardening space, I don't have plants to bring. Is that OK? Can I bring food?
My daughter Shelly and I will be there.
Charlene
Of course it is O.K. to come even if you have no plants. As for food you can certainly bring that, I will be starting a thread for the food soon.

It will be great to see you and your daughter, Charlene.
Hey - Sorry to say - my condition is flaring - they think it's lupus - but anyway - for now I'm out of commission - I won't be answering D-mails - watching threads, going to RU's - or doing any gardening - till it's over - don't know how long it will last or how bad it will be - Right now - I'm glued to the bed - feels like by a weight of an elephant - I'll give you all a holler when I'm feeling better - trades - are gonna have to wait -this came on very suddenly - like a mack truck
Kitty
Kitty - I'm so sorry to hear about your condition. Rest & feel better - I hope it's a quick recovery for you!!
Jennifer
I am sorry you are not feeling well, I hope you will be better soon.
Take care of yourself.
Josephine.
Okay everyone, my daughter Shelly will gladly volunteer to be the entertainer for the children. I saw the following post from last year and got confused (not too hard for me) and thought it was from this year.

If everyone will bring supplies for the gourd project for the kids. My daughter Shelly loves working with kiddos.
She does not like plants. Even though she hates the plants she is coming so she can help me tote my plants from the truck to the tables and my trades from the tables to the truck. (How Sweet!!)
She said she would be bored to tears in between the toting of my plants. So, bring all the supplies needed and you have a great baby sitter available for the kids.
Bring gourds, small ones and medium please. Bring shirts that your children can wear over their clothes to hopefully keep the paint off of them. We have some paints, but we will need some additional black and white paints as those will get the most use. We have paint brushes, so don't bring those (unless marked with your name) as they might all get mixed up.
If you have additional things you wish to add to the gourds in the way of decorations, bring those along and Shelly will try to fit them in. Bring any pictures you have of decorated gourds, so the children can pick which ones they wish to do.
LMK if there is an interest in this activity so Shelly will know to prepare for it.

Shelly has also offered to do face painting for the kids. She will make a poster of some picture choices and the children can choose the picture they want painted on their cute little cheeks.
Charlene
I am still around ... just busy, busy .... I will be there ... with Dawn! :)
The children's entertainment sounds great! I know my daughter would really enjoy it. :)

AW.. how sweet Charlene.. tell Shelly I think she is great!!
Oh neat! I can bring my kids too. :-) I'll bring hubby too. The kids are 8 and 5 so they'll enjoy it as well.
I'll be coming. I asked a friend to come and the last time I spoke to her about it, she said she was coming. I'm new to gardening so won't have any trades this year, but I'm looking forward to meeting you all.
Sarah
Thank you Sarah, glad you decided to come, we are looking forward to meeting you also.
Josephine.
It will be good if you can bring some of that, I am sure some people don't have it.
Thank you very much.
datura....I would love some of those! I got some earlier in the summer thanks to another DG member but I could always use more.
:) Kim
Datura....I would love to have a plant and seeds please. I spotted my first Pipevine in my yard this last week!! I have one Wooly PV but it is very small. Take a look at my list and see if I have anything you would like.
Here is Sheila's trade list, it is on thread # 3

I would love plants, but seeds will work too. I tried them from seed last spring and was not very successful.
Hello all, I collected some gourds yesterday at the East Tx RU. I got them for the children's activity. I need to know if there is still any interest in doing this. My daughter (Shelly) has offered to help the children paint globes at the ru.
Parents would need to bring something to put over their children's clothes to keep the paint off of them (daddy's old long-sleeved shirt's work well).
We need some more nice gourds if anyone has any. We probably have enough to go around, but most are not the best choice for painting on unless they are the only option. Most are bulbous at one end with a very long slender top. They will work if necessary.
If you are interested in doing this activity just please let us know about how many children will participate.
Also let me know if you have some nice shaped gourds for the project. We have paint brushes and paint.
We all had a great time yesterday at the East TX Ru.
