Nice one! Can't wait til you have an ID.

It never ceases to amaze me the things people will do :(

I did manage to wake up early this morning---if I want to play this afternoon and evening I have to work early this morning.

That is a great picture. the contrast with the calidiums in the back is awesome. You really need to figure out what the name is. I need one too!!

Its a hybrid Marie--probably between L chinensis and L aurea or L traubii. I've got these at the house just for fun. I can sneak you one next spring, when they have some leaves (where I can find them better--I've sliced about a million Lycoris trying to dig them dormant--I no longer dig Lycoris when dormant). I'll ship Lycoris "in the green" or when they are going down for the season. But no more dormant digging on them--and I don't grow any Lycoris (other than seedlings) in pots--they just won't bloom well in pots.

I cannot wait for next spring. I love the color of that one and if you do not mind I think I will need to get some caladiums and copy what you have done!!

Thanks Marie--it's probably a good idea to water the caladiums more than I do to make them look their best. ;)

I'm pretty sure that caladium is Florida Sweetheart and they are widely available. I just use caladiums as ground covers to cut down on the weeding out front in the summer.

That sounds like a plan to me. I have never planted any but have been wanting to try them.
