Glad I woke you up. Ha Ha
Looken good Amom, nice work.
As Mom's Garden Grows.....
Yea, I love my yard, but now that I have been to tillys, I want more I really loved all the different plantings. Sorry I wasn't able to help much this time, maybe next time.
like all the little animals, gnomes, and other objects interdispersed in the garden. Gave me lots of ideas.
Now I just have to implement them.
Sorry 'Tyler' got you dirty. Had fun and so injoyed it. Hope to see you again.
I am SOOOO BUMMED that I missed their visit tills! :( wish I could have made time to meet you when we were up there! Sis told me how wonderful your gardens are! guess I gotta make another trip to WA next year! yippee! lol! -plus I have to check in on moms garden :oD tee hee!
working on some nice xmas gifts for gardens this year! (hint hint!)
Tills, don't worry about my pants. It will wash out. I love pets and don't mind if they jump on me, just don't want them to bite me. I always tell them if they bite me I bite back. I really don't want to have to do that, it doesn't taste that good. LOL
Pat
lol mom! thats what you told us KIDS when we were growing up! teehee!
BTW...need more garden pix!
Yea I did tell you kids that and had to do it a couple of times. Amazing how quick you learn with those consequences. With five of you I had to be pretty hard-nosed at times.
Amazing how well all of you turned out so well.
Hugs
Mom
tee hee... guess that means you dont have to be so hard nosed with some of us anymore?! LOL!
Well, there is always some of the grandkids that will need it.
Mom
lolol! just not the great grand kids! tee hee!
speaking of which... I got to see DGS today for all of five minutes and he was sound asleep thru the whole visit! funny thing is...he's going to wake up later and not know why tohse pudgy cheeks of his are all sopping wet again! LOL! he even slept thru all my kisses :(
Oh, what a charmer! Check out those eyelashes! I'm jealous!
LOL! Yes, love the eye lashes... but its those dimples ~inherited from me! ~ that really tear at my heartstrings! LOL
You can hear the laughter just looking at the picture. What a cutie!
Anyone interested in more Iris? tee hee! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/900799/
I think Tilly's garden inspired mom to pick this up. I think he is cute....
Too many individual blooms to post... They are in mom's blog. Check them out if you want, very pretty colors & gorgeous blooms! Callalily garden area and Dahlias are looking good, both in bench bed blog....
Hope you are enjoying the view from your window mom. Gonna have to get a pix from that view next week, just so we can see what you do in the mornings!
Cheryl ~ Pea
oh what a cute lil turtle! lol!
ok sis... you need to go back and edit the first pix you posted and let everyone know it was you posting under moms name! lolol! I kept reading the posts and trying to figure out why mom was refering to grandmas view! lolol!
okay... who knew that sunday 9/7 was grandparents day?! andwhy didnt ya all tell me?!
I had a 'lunch date' with DD and DGS that day, we went to the craft store after...and she found a card and a sign that said grandparents day was that day! LOL! guess its not a big hallmark holiday yet?
anyhow.... here is a pix of my grandparents day gift for my very first Grandparents day :oD
And you'll treasure it always.
oh yes! originally wanted DD footprints on outside and DGS footprints on inside... but DD feet wouldnt fit in the mold! lol!
oh, and only 1 hand print cause 8 mo old DGS decided to grab a handful of cement in his left hand... and try to eat it. then became a little unco-operative with the project... so we settled on the two feet and one hand! lol!
Now that's something you'll remember!!! I love memories ad making new ones.
yes! clip roses just above the next stem with 5 leaves and you'll get more... (instructions are for sis... I know mom already knows this! lol)
LOL
1st, have to sign in as mom again to edit.....maybe tomorrow.
2nd, remember all those rose bushes I had in CA? 18 or so, if I remember correctly.... Had the trimming down to science of training it to grow exactly the direction I wanted it too. Just far too much work to do here, then to trim (or even really notice) two rose bushes. That will come when I make it over to moms to plant the daylilies, hostas, daffodils & irises. Hopefully, this weekend - dirt permitting.....
Anjl, you know how to trim a rose so it grows the direction you want? And with tons of blooms??? lol Sis ain't that bad.....remember a FEW things. ^_^
Luv Ya!
Cheryl ~ Pea
lol okay! okay! didnt remember that you had roses here... shoot, forget that you lived here once upon a time! lol! that was what? 20 yrs ago?!
yep, I know how to trim roses, and wisteria, and bougies to grow in the direction I want them to...they just grow too fast for me sometimes! lol!
Oh yeah, go ahead & date me now!!
Hey Tills, do you think I need to watch mom's yard for that plastic helmet worm you ended up with? What would I look for? And do they only attack the roses? Think I saw on another post, it may have gotten another plant?? Sorry can't remember.
Or, should I even worry unless I start to see major damage? Only reason I ask is that I noticed on some (just a few) of mom's Glads, something is starting to eat at the leaves. But not at the edges, more in the center, like larvae or aphids or????? Have not noticed any other plants yet, but will check better this weekend.
Thanks!!
Cheryl ~ Pea
They are called Rose Slugs, still as yet have not seen one. But they have done some damage to my Roses, not sure if they like glads, mine have damage too. Aphids you can see, can not be that. But I would keep watch, I live in the woods have lots of who knows what looking for dinner on my plants. Want to see so I can ID them, not so easy. LOL
Watch for this.
Thanks Tilly, doesn't seem that it is the same & so far, only seems to be the glads. Just maybe butterflies or something hatching. Although I haven't seen anything on the leafs, but I have not been at mom's a whole lot. Will check again for the damage & any 'bugs' (which I am doubtful I will see) next time I am at mom's.
Just may post a pix, if I think it might be something to be concerned about. May just be some bugs dinner... and then off to the next delicious plant. Mom thinks its nothing to worry about. Me, I am too 'newby' to know one way or another....lol
