Please help me with my tomatoes

Harrisburg, PA

I have grape tomatoes growing in a container on my deck. Good soil, just enough water, and full sun. The problem is that there are whote powdery spots on the leaves. Any solution to this. The fruit still seems to be maturing on the vine ok. Thanks

Sounds like powdery mildew =(. Any standard fungicide should take care of it, just check the label to make sure.

I have that on my squash and cucumbers. Doesn't look too bad in the beginning, and then it spread a lot and a few of the leaves have died. I'm still getting produce but don't want to shorten the plant's life, so I'm using neem oil, as someone on here recommended. Give each leaf and good spray down, top and bottom, as well as the stems.

Or you can use a fungicide, of course, as linux recommends. Or google powdery mildew and you can find recipes for homemade solutions with milk or baking soda. That's what I would have tried, but I already had the neem oil for something else and I waited a while before I started treating the powdery mildew, so it was fairly extensive. Good luck! Should be ok, though. What I've read said that it doesn't usually hurt the fruit.

Thanks for the response. I will certainly give these suggestions a try.
