Would anyone else be interested in new threads list?

could you make a "news from Dave" announcement of its presence for those who didn't see it come & go at the bottom of their home page? I think it's a pretty significant addition...

I like it!!
It's full of Plant Files pics now...but I'm sure it will be a wonderful way to see what is new, I won't miss anything interesting any more.

Do thread disappear off the new thread list when a reply is added? If so I'd personally prefer if that was changed so it listed the threads that were started in reverse time order, even if they had been replied to.

But they still pop up in the Latest Posts too, correct?

zhinu, I have set it up so that it won't drop threads off after they have had a reply.

Thanks from me too, Dave, but I'll have to disable this new feature. Sheesh, in
just one day I have 125 pages of latest threads, with dates back to July 28th!
The bulk of them are Plant Files which aren't of interest to me.

my list is all PF pictures again also...

I think I'm casting my vote to have the PF pics excluded if possible from the new threads listing... they'll still pop up in "latest posts" but don't seem as dominant there.

I'm fine with PF pictures being excluded. It doesn't bother me that much, but I wouldn't miss them either.

Dave, Just a thought, would it be possible to select which forums we see in the Newest thread. Like we can select our favorite forums.
If we could go to each forum and tag a "add to your new thread list"

Er, now we've got a bunch of blooms.com photos and a couple of bugfiles photos threads in the new threads list... Could those possibly be excluded the same way the PF photos were, please?

The Blooms.com posts are getting very annoying on the new threads list. Not as bad as PF photos, but they do take over the list.

Zhinu - I just came to this thread so I could suggest that very thing. Well, I wouldn't say I find them annoying per se, but I would say that it is not effective for me. The thing I like about latest posts is that a thread title will catch my eye from a forum I don't normally frequent and I'll check it out. I thought latest threads would do the same for me, but nothing catches my eye because all I see is additions to blooms.com; all the real threads get lost.

I think there's a bug going on with the bloom.com photos, hang in there and hopefully it'll get fixed and then you'll see the regular threads instead.
