I am not sure if it is because of the heavy smoke that has been in the air since the first of July but my vegetables are not growing well at all this year. We can look directly at the sun in the morning and it just a red ball in the sky, pretty to look at. The dense smoke is considered hazardess for people, so I'm wondering what effect it is having on plants. Any ideas?
Thick smoke in the northern Sacramento valley
We've only gotten a little of the smoke up here, but our vegetables are doing awful also. Several people I've talked to are having the same problem. We're blaming it on the crazy weather we had in early spring.
