I love the Mexican bird of paradise bush. I have them at this house I am living in and want to start others at another home. Anyone know how to get the seeds to grow or can I dig one and take them apart like a bulb?

They're shrubs so I don't think you can divide them like that, mine only has one trunk coming out of the soil so there'd be no way to divide it. I've started seeds of other Caesalpinia species by soaking overnight, then planting just under the surface of the soil and putting them on a heat mat under lights. Or you could probably take cuttings instead if you don't have any seeds.
