Help! I can't figure out how to add a picture from my files

Hi, I keep trying to add a picture from my files to a post and it is not working. Do I need to download to a Dave's garden site? It keeps telling me that the website could not be displayed. Thanks.

Are you clicking on the choose file/browse button underneath the box where you type your post? I know some people have tried to put in pictures by copy/paste and other methods and the only way to do it is to use the button underneath the post box. Also pictures can only be in certain file formats, I know jpg is fine and I think gif as well, but other formats are not supported. Or if your file is really large, sometimes it'll get hung up trying to upload so you might try saving your picture again at a slightly lower resolution and see if that works.

Thanks ecrane3, yes, I have used the browse button. I'm not sure what format the picture is in. I'm not very savvy about digital pics. Will see if I can somehow lower the resolution. Wish me luck. =)

If you are using a PC you can 'right click' on the picture and it will bring up a little box that tells you all the info on the photo.

Thanks gardenza. I guess the file was too large. I saved it to adobe and it had a function that let me reduce the resolution. This seems to have worked. I'm still learning. Was not aware of the right click option. Thanks, again.
