Hello,
We have planted out first veggie garden, and I am wondering when is the right time to pick the radish?
They are exploding in the garden, and we think some may be close.
Thanks!
When to pick radish?
Anytime they are big enough for your use. They can get pithy if you wait too long. Except of course for Asian radishes which hold all winter.
thanks Farmerdill,
I actually went and pulled the two largest (we have so much) and the biggest looks ok - probably could've stayed a few more days.. So I will wait till they are bit larger.
I was reading that radishes do not fair well being transplanted - and that is what we did - thankfully ignorance is bliss. Because our radishes are doing well. Everything in the garden is doing well.
Going out there every morning to see what's transpired overnight is quickly becoming the best part of the day. :)
thanks again
