do you remember the pictures Dave posted of the RBW getting into the mealworm cage? With a tongue that long, I'm not surprised to see them at HB feeders.
Daily Pics Vol 126
I must be thinking of dog tongues, like they lap it with that pointy, barbed thing.
OMG, how adorable!
Grandmaggie - your nuthatch is a sweetie - what an adventurous little one. Great pix!
Watercan - those baby mockingbirds are just like peas in a pod! So very cute.
Great pics, Burn. Sounds like people are pretty fortunate to have Woodpeckers visit?
Nanny, I love the shots of the Grey Catbird on the letterbox. In the first pic, it looks like a metal sculpture. (Hey, it's not one of Rose's fake birds that she's sent you, is it)?
Dave, spectacular as always.
Grandmaggie, what a little darling.
WaterCan, the Mockingbird bubs are so sweet. Great shot.
Flowerjen, that's a decent sized hawk, if it's still a juvenile.
I took this shot a year or so back. They are Little Corellas and are without any shadow of a doubt the clowns of the bird world. They play on the swings at our local swamp. If they are in the nearby trees, you can actually encourage them to come and play by setting the swings in motion. This is a lousy shot with my old camera, but you get the idea. They form large flocks in the metropolitan area, and huge ones in agricultural zones, much to the chagrin of the farmers.
Nice Swingers Margaret!
Pelle has asked me to start the next thread… we are almost to 135, so I'll go ahead and start now.
