Generally most insurance policies don't cover them. I'm surprised with Allstate as they wouldn't even pay for debri removal during Charley, when most did! Good for you! I guess everybody had better check their individual coverages as you never know!
I do know that you can claim it on your Federal taxes though with back-up documentation/appraisals, etc.
