sprinkler system removal

Nampa, ID

Is there a semi simple way to remove an old sprinkler system. The piping is poly. I've used everything from a shovel, pick axe, high power water hose (which works just really messy) and my truck (little redneck in me and some frustrations). Long story as to how I decided my sprinklers needed moved at first and then an all out removal. But we'll just leave it at a medical condition and call it O.C.D. Any advice would be great, I do plan to put in a new and improved system that covers the ENTIRE yard and no just some select areas as in the past.
thanks so much

Is there any reason why you need to dig up and remove the old lines? As long as you can avoid putting the new sprinkler lines in the exact same spot as where the old ones are I don't think you necessarily need to dig everything up.

I agree with ECrane. No need to remove the old lines. If you run across an old line as you are working just cut and remove the line that is in your way.
